Once almost exclusively known to the dance world, Pilates is now embraced by millions of people worldwide.

This method of body conditioning seeks to balance strength and flexibility with attention to correct biomechanics. Its focus is on quality of movement, rather than number of repetitions.

It is most often practiced on the Reformer, a unique piece of equipment with a moving carriage that slides along a wooden or metal frame. Springs provide both assistance and resistance. This allows each exercise to be performed with fluidity and control.
